Trip Day

As great as a day is at Winnebago, it’s fun to take a break. Once a week, usually on Wednesday, campers venture out from camp with their age group to explore and discover other parts of Maine.

Whether hiking in Camden State Park or climbing Mt. Pisgah’s fire tower, taking in the surf and exploring the tidal pools at Pemaquid  Point, or enjoying a relaxing day at Damariscotta Lake State Park, trip day is a fun and different adventure. When you return to camp in the afternoon and after an optional swim, head down to the  cook out area where, along with your counselor, you get to build a fire and grill your own hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner followed by a well deserved ice cream.  What a day!
